1. Nature of the Service
Manlius Residents Directory is a private reference service. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections relevant to Manlius, New York. It does not host government records and has no connection to an agency, court, or records custodian.
2. Acceptable Use
Use the service only for lawful purposes. You may not use it, or any information found through it, to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make decisions regulated by the FCRA, including credit, employment, tenant screening, or insurance decisions
- Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
- Interfere with the site's operation or security
3. No Consumer Reporting Service
This private service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither its content nor a result from a linked tool is a consumer report. None may be used to assess eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.
4. Links to Outside Sites
Official portals and outside services, including sponsored result providers, publish their own terms and policies. Their content, uptime, fees, and data practices are outside our control.
5. No Warranties
The service is offered "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any type. We do not promise that its information is complete, accurate, or current, or that an outside portal will operate or return correct results.
6. Limits on Our Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of this service or a linked resource, including actions taken from a record found through it.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold the service operators harmless from claims or demands, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that result from misuse of the service or a violation of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The original wording, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. You may link to a page or quote a short attributed excerpt, but may not republish entire pages or systematically copy the content.
9. Changes to These Terms
We can revise these terms by posting an updated version here. Use after that posting indicates acceptance of the revision.
10. Cutting Off Access
We may restrict or block access, without notice and at our discretion, when a user violates these terms or abuses the service.
11. Governing Law
New York law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. New York Freedom of Information Law is Public Officers Law Article 6 §§84-90; it governs requests for eligible existing agency records and does not make this private reference an agency or custodian.
12. Severability
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
